NFL Picks: Pro Bowl

Last Week (Super Bowl): 0-1
Playoffs: 5-6
Overall: 175-84

Sunday is the last day of football season. It will be a very depressing time in many places across this great country of ours. The football landscape will be turned over to a burgeoning industry of year-round NFL coverage on outlets such as ESPN and the NFL Network. Don't worry, though, because the scouting combine and the draft are just around the corner.

I am going to pick the Pro Bowl. I know nothing about who is going to play in this game. To be honest, the players out in Hawaii probably don't know who is going to play, either. This game has all the seriousness of a comedy club. However, the NFC team has 12 Dallas Cowboys on their roster. This includes Tony Romo, who is in Hawaii with celebrity girlfriend Jessica Simpson. I did well picking the Cowboys this year. So, I'll stay with that trend.

Pick: NFC

Silly game - means nothing. I wish this could determine homefield advantage for next year's Superbowl. Oh well. I still say the NFL should go to a bowl system. It works for the BCS!!! lol

Maybe there can be a bowl game in Green Bay, since the NFC won the Pro Bowl. :-)

At least the NFL gives their guys a nice trip for their all-star game. Baseball sends their players to places like Pittsburgh and Milwaukee and expects guys from bad teams to go all-out so a team like Boston can host game 7 of the World Series.

Of course, it's hard for the criminal element to get to Hawaii, so the NFL doesn't have the issues the NBA has with their All-Star weekend, such as last year in Vegas.

Oh, you think this year in New Orleans is going to be any better? I think not.

Hawaii has enough criminals without recruiting some from the NBA! Aaaaack!

I shudder to think of what will happen this weekend in the Big Easy. I'm afraid it may make last year in Vegas look like child's play.

The NBA may ought to think about shrinking the scope of their All-Star weekend. Or, have it someplace like Butte, Montana.
