Knee-Jerk Reactions

Nebraska football has experienced a lot of ups and downs in the four years of Bill Callahan's reign as head coach. Texas Tech hung 70 on the Huskers in Lubbock in 2005. However, today was the low point in the modern history of Nebraska football. Oklahoma State went to Lincoln and manhandled the Huskers, 45-14. That's not Oklahoma, but Oklahoma State.

Nebraska is a proud program that deserves much better. The athletic director, Steve Pederson, and coach Callahan both received contract extensions in recent months. The Nebraska athletic program will be in an even bigger hole by paying buyouts for both of them. However, that appears to be the only course of action.

The people of Nebraska want their football program back.

The Hardline predicted an OSU win. Nebraska doesn't deserve better just because of the past.

Your OSU hatred is worse than your knee-jerkiness. ;)

Also, did you see the great ending to the UH v. SJS game? That was fun! GO RAINBOW WARRIORS!

This has nothing to do with my opinion of Payne County Tractor College. It was a big win for OSU.

Most true OU fans want Nebraska to succeed. The OU-Nebraska rivalry was built on respect. There is no hate there. It's best for the North Division when Nebraska is good.

When San Jose was up by a touchdown and threw a pick with two minutes left, I knew Hawaii would win the game. I was more struck by the combination of mud and paint that got all over Hawaii's white uniforms. They looked like they were turning into bags of flour or something. Hawaii keeps their BCS hopes alive for another week.
