UUOTD-Playoff Edition

You can't argue with results, and the skins on the wall allow him to get away with such a thing. Bill Belichick has three Super Bowl rings with the New England Patriots, with Tom Brady and a bunch of guys. Brady is the only superstar in the bunch, and he was a sixth-round draft pick. He has done a masterful job in Foxboro, and his team came up big today in San Diego.

However, in a league that micromanages the clothing choices of its coaches, he is allowed to get away with looking like he just got out of a garage. The hooded sweatshirt is a relatively new thing for coaches' gamewear. But Belichick ruins a perfecly good shirt, by cutting the sleeves off. This isn't Bill's Auto Center in Natick. This is the National Football League. At least the shirt is clean, and doesn't have motor oil stains all over it.

It's better than the look Parcells throws down every week. This one, too.

This one he needs a bro.

Big Bill is a 65 year old man that can't figure out if he wants his hair to be gray or gold.

The practice outfit isn't too bad. That block D belongs on a baseball cap only, just as in the days of Landry.

At least he's not tearing his clothes up. Of course, you may be able to get a Patriots sweatshirt with torn sleeves soon on nfl.com. :-)

I didn't realize there was some conflict in the game.

Tomlinson was offended by the Patriots' midfield celebration on the Chargers logo after the game and pointed a finger at New England coach Bill Belichick.

"I was very upset," Tomlinson said. "When you go to the middle of our field and start doing the dance Shawne Merriman is known for, that is disrespectful. They showed no class and maybe that comes from the head coach."

Yes. I saw the press conference last night. LT had reason to be upset, and he wanted to try to be George Teague to the Pats' T.O. Some Pats guys wouldn't let him.

When I first saw the aborted fight, I thought it was really out of character for LT. When he mentioned the reason, I wasn't surprised.
